VVV lands on Solana: Venice widens its routes and tightens emissions
The VVV token reaches Solana through Sunrise, while the model catalogue grows and emissions fall to 2 million a year.

On 6 October Venice announced that $VVV was travelling “across more chains”. A day later the announcement became operational: the token is live on Solana, carried by the Sunrise gateway and linked through Wormhole NTT.
From Base to Solana, with no wrapped representations
Sunrise — the Wormhole Labs infrastructure that brings external assets to Solana — announced the listing at 15:24 UTC on 6 October. Wormhole confirmed the link via NTT (Native Token Transfers) and Raydium flagged the token as trading. The logic is Sunrise’s own: give an external asset liquidity and canonical markets from day one, without wrapped versions or fragmented pools. For a utility token like VVV, used for staking and for minting DIEM, widening the chains means widening the pool of people who can lock it. Users’ practical questions about how bridging and staking work once outside Base remain open.
The catalogue grows: images and models without filters
On the product side, Venice has added Nano Banana 2.1, Google’s image model, available in anonymous mode with per-image pricing (0.10 dollars at 1K, 0.19 at 4K). The official page speaks of fusing several reference images — the announcement post cited six, the model page goes up to fourteen: a discrepancy worth keeping in mind. In the same window Abliterated Large V2, a model openly described as “without filters”, and Flux 3 Image have entered the catalogue, both announced by Venice’s official account.
Tokenomics: fewer emissions, more burn
The structural part remains the most interesting. Since 17 July 2026, 5 dollars for every 100 spent on credits bought on Venice automatically buy and burn VVV, on top of the burns funded by subscriptions. Annual emissions have fallen from 3 to 2 million VVV, in two cuts of 500,000 between September and October. The DIEM supply target has risen from 38,000 to 40,000 in four steps, completed on 14 September: 1 DIEM is still worth 1 dollar a day of API credit. Venice claims more than 33.7 million VVV burned since genesis, while the protocol TVL remains above 1.8 billion dollars.
A platform that widens as it tightens
Venice is doing two things at once: expanding its surface — more chains, more models — and shrinking supply. It is a coherent strategy for a utility asset that wants to be deflationary, but the verdict depends on a single variable: whether usage grows enough to sustain the burns.
